Correction to student story

Feb. 14, 2013

The Jan. 31, 2013, issue of InScope carried an article in which Rachael Bazzell was incorrectly identified as a “medical student.”

Bazzell is a student in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI, formerly a department in the IU School of Medicine; however, she is not pursuing a medical degree. Her interest in the fight against cancer is instead pursued through classes in public health and as a community representative for the American Cancer Society. She is also a donor to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank at the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center.

The story originally appeared in Inside IUPUI on Jan. 22.
