IUSM Presentation Services reorganized, changes name

Effective Feb. 24, Presentation Technology Services will become Multimedia Technology Services.
Presentation Technology Services was previously known as IUSM Presentation Services prior to being reorganized under IUSM Information Services and Technology Management on Jan. 1.
Patrick Phillips, former manager of information technology in the Department of Psychiatry at the IU School of Medicine, was also recently appointed manager of Multimedia Technology Services.
"While our name will change, and you will see some new faces, the level of service and support we provide will not," Phillips said. "My main focus, and highest priority, during this transition is to ensure the continuity of current services without interruption to courses, students, faculty and staff."
He added that Multimedia Technology Services will continue to provide the equipment and support in the same manner as before the transition and that no immediate changes will take place this semester to the ways that technology is used or scheduled in rooms at the IU School of Medicine.
Individuals should continue to schedule and reserve technology at 317-274-8856 or pts@iupui.edu, or fill out an AV Request Form.
"Going forward, MTS will be working to progress and improve our services, and this will ultimately result in some changes to the way we do things," Phillips said. "I would like to meet you to discuss the direction we will go and to solicit feedback about these planned changes. I look forward to working with you to create a better learning and meeting environment in the IU School of Medicine."
