Medical student speed networking and mentoring session

Feb. 7, 2013

A speed networking and mentoring event for IU School of Medicine students and alumni will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in the IUPUI Campus Center, Room 450.

Operation: MEDS (Medical Students Exploring Different Specialties) invites medical students from the IU School of Medicine’s nine campuses across the state to participate in this Indianapolis-based program. Operation: MEDS is designed to help students gain a better understanding about which area of medicine they’d like to practice.

At the program, students will be able to pick four specialties that they are interested in learning more about over the course of the evening. Each student will spend 15-20 minutes with each specialty before rotating to the next specialty. Each specialty will be represented by community based IUSM alumni who have agreed to share their knowledge with students throughout the evening.

Registration is $5 per student and includes appetizers and one beverage ticket for the cash bar. To register, visit the IU School of Medicine Alumni Relations website.
