Faculty nominations sought for IU School of Medicine Class of 2014 to the IU Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society

The IU School of Medicine chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society is soliciting faculty from all centers to recognize four-year medical students who are exemplars of humanism and professionalism.

The IU School of Medicine chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society is soliciting faculty to recognize four-year medical students.
Student nominees should demonstrate respect, integrity, compassion and altruism. They should also possess exceptional interpersonal skills with colleagues, faculty and patients, and consistently display a caring approach to the practice of medicine -- at the individual level and/or through community involvement.
Student nominees must be members of the IU School of Medicine Class of 2014. Peer and faculty nominations are an important part of the GHHS selection process, as well as the student’s academic standing and personal essay. To nominate a student, use this brief online form. Entries will be collected by the MSA office. Students will be selected by committee this summer and Oct. 11, 2013 will be the Annual Gold Induction Banquet at Fairbanks Hall.
The due date for faculty nominations has been extended to Friday, June 21.
