Several notable events and lectures are scheduled over the next few weeks at the IU School of Medicine:
Ora Pescovitz to speak at Eight Annual Hazelett Forum
Ora Pescovitz, M.D., the first female executive vice president for medical Affairs and Health Systems at the University of Michigan and CEO of the U-M Health System, is the speaker at this year's Hazelett Women in Leadership Forum.
The 8th annual Hazelett Forum takes place Friday, Oct. 25 in the Basile Theater at the Indiana Historical Society, 450 W. Ohio Street. The reception is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the presentation is from 6 to 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Ora Pescovitz, M.D.
In addition to her leadership role at U-M, Dr. Pescovitz is a nationally recognized pediatric endocrinologist and researcher. She previously served as executive associate dean of research affairs at the IU School of Medicine and as president and CEO of Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

12th Annual Lingeman Lecture — Nov. 1
The 12th Annual Lingeman Lecture will be from 12:30 to 4:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in the Riley Outpatient Center auditorium.
Presenters include K.J. Lee, M.D., associate clinical professor of otolaryngology at Yale College of Medicine. Dr. Lee is a renowned surgeon, health policy expert, author and inventor. He has lectured nationally and internationally on scientific, medical, and surgical topics as well as on health policy, health information technology, and the business of medicine. One of his 22 books, "Essential Otolaryngology," is one of the most widely read textbooks in the field.
Additional speakers include William I. Kuhel, M.D., associate professor of clinical otorhinolaryngology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center and director of the Head and Neck Service in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Charles W. Yates, M.D., assistant professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at IU School of Medicine.

Siu L. Hui retirement reception
The Department of Biostatistics and the Regenstrief Institute will hold retirement reception in honor of Siu L. Hui, Ph.D., professor of biostatistics, from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in the Health Information and Translational Sciences (HITS) Building, atrium (first floor).
This event will celebrate her 32 years of distinguished accomplishment at the IU School of Medicine.
